Frequently Asked Questions
What material are your vinyl banners made from?

Our vinyl banners are printed on 510gsm super heavy-duty industrial-grade material. The material is tear-resistant, water-resistant, and printed with UV-resistant inks that hold their colour through extended outdoor display.

What finishing options are available?

Three options: hemmed edges only (for indoor or framed installation), hemmed edges with clear eyelets (for rope attachment to fences and poles), and hemmed edges with rope and clear eyelets (rope pre-threaded, ready to tie). Select your finishing option at checkout.

What sizes do you offer?

Four standard sizes: 1220 x 760mm, 2000 x 1000mm, 3000 x 1000mm, and 4000 x 1000mm. Contact our team if you need a different size, we can advise on options.

How long does production take?

Standard production is 2-3 working days after design proof approval. A proof is included with every order and sent before we proceed to print.

Can vinyl banners be used outdoors in all weather?

Yes. Our 510gsm vinyl is tear-resistant, waterproof, and UV-resistant, designed for extended outdoor display in Australian conditions including wind, rain, and direct sun.

What format should I provide my artwork to you in?

File Type

We prefer artwork in PDF, SVG and Adobe Illustrator formats. Please add 3mm bleed and crop marks whenever possible.

Fonts & Artworks

Make sure all fonts are outlined/vectorized, and all images/artwork embedded.

Dieline

Dieline needs to be in 100% Magenta Spot Colour and placed on the top layer.

Will I receive a design proof before it's printed?

Yes we will send a final design proof to your email. We will not proceed to print until we receive your design approval.

Do you print custom size vinyl banners?

The four sizes stocked on this page are 1220mm x 760mm, 2000mm x 1000mm, 3000mm x 1000mm and 4000mm x 1000mm, and every one of them is custom printed to your artwork.

If you need a size outside that range, contact our team with the dimensions of your fence or display space and we can advise on the best fit.

Are your vinyl banners PVC?

Yes. Banner vinyl is a PVC material, so custom PVC banners, PVC vinyl banners and vinyl banners all refer to the same thing. Ours is 510gsm super heavy-duty industrial-grade material, printed in full colour and finished with a hem.

If you need the perforated version for a windy or elevated installation, order printed mesh banners instead.

Do you deliver vinyl banners to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane?

Yes. Banners are printed and dispatched from Oakleigh South in Melbourne. Once dispatched, metro Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide typically take 1-2 business days, and Perth and regional areas take 2-4 business days.

Flat-rate shipping is $10 AUD Australia-wide and all orders ship with tracking. Delivery for signage and displays is limited to Australia.

How do I hang a vinyl banner outdoors?

For most outdoor installations, choose hemmed edges with clear eyelets and attach with rope, bungee cord or cable ties to fences, poles, barriers or scaffolding. Choose hemmed edges with rope and clear eyelets if you would rather the rope arrived pre-threaded and ready to tie.

Our team positions eyelets at industry-standard intervals, so you do not need to mark eyelet positions on your file.

Why 510gsm Heavy-Duty Vinyl Matters

Not all vinyl banners are built the same. Banner vinyl ranges from economy 250gsm stock to heavy-duty 510gsm industrial material, and the difference is immediately obvious in the field. Our banners use 510gsm super heavy-duty industrial-grade vinyl, at the heavier end of what outdoor banner printing uses.

The increased weight delivers three practical advantages. First, greater rigidity: heavier vinyl stays flatter in wind instead of flapping and curling, which means your graphics remain readable even on breezy days. Second, superior edge strength: if you are using eyelets and rope on a fence or scaffold in exposed conditions, heavier vinyl resists tearing at the eyelet points where stress concentrates. Third, UV-resistant inks that hold their colour through Australian summer sun, your banner looks as strong in its third season as it did on day one.

Finishing Options Explained

Choosing the right finish is as important as the print itself. We offer three options:

  • Hemmed edges only: The perimeter is folded and heat-welded for a clean, reinforced edge. Ideal for indoor or sheltered installations where the banner attaches to a smooth surface using hook-and-loop tape, or slots into a frame system.
  • Hemmed edges with clear eyelets: Rustproof clear eyelets are punched at regular intervals around the reinforced hem. The most common choice for outdoor banners, attach with rope, bungee cord, or cable ties to fences, poles, barriers, or scaffolding.
  • Hemmed edges with rope and clear eyelets: Rope is pre-threaded through the eyelets, ready to tie directly to a fence or pole with no additional hardware. The most convenient option for quick-deploy outdoor installations.

Standard Sizes: Which Is Right for Your Application?

We offer four standard sizes to cover the most common outdoor and indoor banner applications:

  • Small, 1220mm x 760mm: Retail windows, countertop displays, small fence sections.
  • Medium, 2000mm x 1000mm: Retail frontages, event signage, standard fence bays.
  • Large, 3000mm x 1000mm: Festival perimeters, building banners, major event signage.
  • Extra-Large, 4000mm x 1000mm: Maximum outdoor impact, large facade wraps, stadium fencing.

Not sure which size suits your installation? Contact our team with the dimensions of your fence or display space and we can advise on the best fit.

Outdoor Applications

Vinyl banners are built for the outdoors. Common applications include:

  • Fence banners: The standard format for temporary fence signage at construction sites, sporting venues, outdoor festivals, and events. At 3m or 4m wide, a single banner covers multiple fence panels in one go.
  • Building and facade banners: Large-format vinyl banners attach to scaffolding, building facades, or mesh barriers with rope and eyelets, creating high-visibility displays above street level for development launches, retail promotions, or brand campaigns.
  • Retail and hospitality frontages: Hang inside or outside shopfronts to communicate sales events, new arrivals, seasonal menus, or opening hours to passing traffic.
  • Events and markets: Wind and rain do not stop vinyl banners. They perform through multi-day outdoor events without degrading and can be reused across multiple activations.
  • Real estate and property: Development and open home banners on temporary fencing around new estates or construction sites.

Indoor Applications

Vinyl banners are not outdoor-only. Indoors, they suit environments where paper or fabric displays would not hold up, commercial kitchens and food service areas (the waterproof surface wipes down easily), warehouse and industrial spaces (durable in dusty or moisture-heavy conditions), trade show backdrops (large-format coverage without modular display system costs), and event venue wayfinding where banners need to be reused across multiple events.

Custom Vinyl Banner Printing, Sized to Your Space

Every banner here is a custom banner, printed to your own artwork, with no template range to pick from. A one-off custom banner for a single weekend and a repeat run of the same size go through the same process: upload the file, approve the proof, and the banner prints. Pricing starts from $54.71 AUD inc GST.

Custom vinyl banner printing starts with the four sizes stocked on this page, 1220mm x 760mm, 2000mm x 1000mm, 3000mm x 1000mm and 4000mm x 1000mm. If none of them fits the fence bay, shopfront or scaffold you are covering, contact our team with the dimensions of your fence or display space and we can advise on the best fit.

  • Custom printed banners for a date or a campaign: grand openings, sale periods, sponsor recognition, election and community events. Artwork is yours, so the same banner can carry a different message next season.
  • Large vinyl banner printing: the 3000mm and 4000mm widths are the ones to order when a single banner has to span multiple fence panels or read from across a car park.
  • Temporary outdoor banners: an outdoor vinyl banner in 510gsm material is tear-resistant, waterproof and UV-resistant, so one installed for a six-week campaign comes down in a condition that lets you store it and reuse it.
  • Banners with eyelets: for hanging a vinyl banner on a fence, pole or scaffold, choose a finish with clear eyelets. Our team positions eyelets at industry-standard intervals, you do not need to mark eyelet positions on your file.

PVC Banner Vinyl: The Same Product Under Four Names

Banner vinyl is a PVC material, so the same product is searched for and quoted under several names. Custom PVC banners, PVC vinyl banners, vinyl sign banners and printed vinyl banners all describe what is on this page: solid, unperforated PVC banner vinyl printed in full colour and finished with a hem.

The distinction that actually changes what you should order is solid versus mesh, not the name on the quote:

  • Solid PVC banner vinyl (this product): a continuous surface. Maximum colour density and the sharpest print, and the right choice for shopfronts, walls, barriers and any banner you want to read as a solid block of brand colour.
  • Perforated PVC mesh: the same family of material with holes through it so wind passes rather than pushing. Order printed mesh banners instead when the banner is going high on scaffolding or on exposed fencing across a long run.

Weight is the other number worth checking on any PVC banner quote. Ours is 510gsm super heavy-duty industrial-grade material, and economy banner stock starts as low as 250gsm.

Vinyl Banner Printing Across Australia

Custom banners are printed and dispatched from our Melbourne production floor at 23 Manton Road, Oakleigh South, Victoria. Artwork, proofing and approval all happen by email, so outdoor vinyl banner printing for a customer in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide or regional Australia runs on exactly the same process and the same timeline as one in Melbourne.

Production is 2-3 working days after design proof approval, with delivery on top. Once dispatched, metro Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide typically take 1-2 business days. Perth and regional areas take 2-4 business days. Flat-rate shipping is $10 AUD Australia-wide and all orders ship with tracking.

Delivery for signage and displays is limited to Australia. If you are working to an event date, a site handover or a campaign launch, send that date with your enquiry so the team can confirm the timeline fits before you order.

Artwork Requirements

Large-format vinyl artwork needs to be prepared correctly to print sharp. Key requirements:

  • Resolution: Minimum 100dpi at final print size. Banners viewed from distance (3m+) can work at lower resolution, but 100dpi is the standard for consistently sharp results.
  • File formats: PDF, AI, EPS, or high-resolution PNG. PDF is preferred for artwork with mixed elements.
  • Bleed and crop marks: Include 3mm bleed on all sides and crop marks. All fonts must be outlined. All linked images must be embedded.
  • Eyelets: Our team positions eyelets at industry-standard intervals, you do not need to mark eyelet positions on your file.

Not design-ready? Our artwork team can adjust your file or produce a print-ready design from your logo and brief.
