Vinyl Banners

Not all vinyl banners are built the same. Banner vinyl ranges from economy 250gsm stock to heavy-duty 510gsm industrial material, and the difference is immediately obvious in the field. Our banners use 510gsm super heavy-duty industrial-grade vinyl — at the heavier end of what outdoor banner printing uses.

The increased weight delivers three practical advantages. First, greater rigidity: heavier vinyl stays flatter in wind instead of flapping and curling, which means your graphics remain readable even on breezy days. Second, superior edge strength: if you are using eyelets and rope on a fence or scaffold in exposed conditions, heavier vinyl resists tearing at the eyelet points where stress concentrates. Third, UV-resistant inks that hold their colour through Australian summer sun — your banner looks as strong in its third season as it did on day one.

Choosing the right finish is as important as the print itself. We offer three options:

• Hemmed edges only: The perimeter is folded and heat-welded for a clean, reinforced edge. Ideal for indoor or sheltered installations where the banner attaches to a smooth surface using hook-and-loop tape, or slots into a frame system.
• Hemmed edges with clear eyelets: Rustproof clear eyelets are punched at regular intervals around the reinforced hem. The most common choice for outdoor banners — attach with rope, bungee cord, or cable ties to fences, poles, barriers, or scaffolding.
• Hemmed edges with rope and clear eyelets: Rope is pre-threaded through the eyelets — ready to tie directly to a fence or pole with no additional hardware. The most convenient option for quick-deploy outdoor installations.

We offer four standard sizes to cover the most common outdoor and indoor banner applications:

• Small — 1220mm x 760mm: Retail windows, countertop displays, small fence sections.
• Medium — 2000mm x 1000mm: Retail frontages, event signage, standard fence bays.
• Large — 3000mm x 1000mm: Festival perimeters, building banners, major event signage.
• Extra-Large — 4000mm x 1000mm: Maximum outdoor impact, large facade wraps, stadium fencing.

Vinyl banners are built for the outdoors. Common applications include:

• Fence banners: The standard format for temporary fence signage at construction sites, sporting venues, outdoor festivals, and events. At 3m or 4m wide, a single banner covers multiple fence panels in one go.
• Building and facade banners: Large-format vinyl banners attach to scaffolding, building facades, or mesh barriers with rope and eyelets — creating high-visibility displays above street level for development launches, retail promotions, or brand campaigns.
• Retail and hospitality frontages: Hang inside or outside shopfronts to communicate sales events, new arrivals, seasonal menus, or opening hours to passing traffic.
• Events and markets: Wind and rain do not stop vinyl banners. They perform through multi-day outdoor events without degrading and can be reused across multiple activations.
• Real estate and property: Development and open home banners on temporary fencing around new estates or construction sites.

Vinyl banners are not outdoor-only. Indoors, they suit environments where paper or fabric displays would not hold up — commercial kitchens and food service areas (the waterproof surface wipes down easily), warehouse and industrial spaces (durable in dusty or moisture-heavy conditions), trade show backdrops (large-format coverage without modular display system costs), and event venue wayfinding where banners need to be reused across multiple events.

Large-format vinyl artwork needs to be prepared correctly to print sharp. Key requirements:

• Resolution: Minimum 100dpi at final print size. Banners viewed from distance (3m+) can work at lower resolution, but 100dpi is the standard for consistently sharp results.
• File formats: PDF, AI, EPS, or high-resolution PNG. PDF is preferred for artwork with mixed elements.
• Bleed and crop marks: Include 3mm bleed on all sides and crop marks. All fonts must be outlined. All linked images must be embedded.
• Eyelets: Our team positions eyelets at industry-standard intervals — you do not need to mark eyelet positions on your file.

Standard production for vinyl banners is 2-3 working days after design proof approval. A design proof is included with every order and sent to your email — we do not proceed to print without your approval.
