Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes are available for large format stickers?

Preset size options are 200 x 200mm, 600 x 200mm, and 600 x 900mm. If you need a custom size outside these presets, send us a quote request before placing your order and we will advise on what is achievable for your project.

What vinyl materials are available?

We offer three materials: white vinyl (opaque, suits most indoor and outdoor surfaces), hi-tack white vinyl (stronger adhesive for rough or difficult surfaces), and clear vinyl (transparent, for window graphics and glass where you want the surface to show through). All three options are weatherproof and fade-resistant.

What is the difference between white vinyl and hi-tack white vinyl?

White vinyl is our standard adhesive material and suits most smooth surfaces including walls, glass, and painted panels. Hi-tack white vinyl uses a stronger adhesive formulation for surfaces that resist standard adhesion: rough textures, brick, uneven substrates, or high-stress outdoor applications where you need the sticker to hold without lifting. If you are unsure which suits your surface, contact us before ordering.

What is the difference between white vinyl and clear vinyl?

White vinyl has an opaque white base, so the background of your sticker is white. Clear vinyl is fully transparent, meaning your printed artwork appears to float directly on the surface beneath it. Clear vinyl is popular for window graphics, glass doors, and any application where you want the substrate to remain visible through the unprinted areas of the sticker.

Are large format stickers weatherproof?

Yes. White vinyl, hi-tack white vinyl, and clear vinyl are all weatherproof and fade-resistant. They are suitable for outdoor applications including vehicle graphics, external window displays, and outdoor event signage.

Can large format stickers be used on vehicles?

Yes. White vinyl and hi-tack white vinyl are well suited to smooth painted vehicle panels. Clear vinyl works on vehicle windows where you want graphics without blocking the glass. Before applying, ensure the vehicle surface is clean, dry, and free of wax or silicone product residue.

How long does production take?

We offer fast production as our standard. However, production times may vary depending on order volume and complexity. Please refer to the estimated timeline below:

Large Format Stickers: 3-4 working days

These estimates apply after your design proof is approved. While we strive to complete orders within promised timeline, production times may extend slightly during peak periods.

Will I see a proof before my stickers are printed?

Yes. Every large format sticker order includes a design proof review. Our team checks your artwork for bleed, resolution, font outlining, dieline placement, and colour mode before production starts. You approve the proof, then we print. No order goes to press without your sign-off.

What file formats do you accept?

We accept PDF, SVG, and Adobe Illustrator (.ai) files. Your artwork should include 3mm bleed on all edges, all fonts must be outlined, all images must be embedded, and your dieline must be on a separate top layer set to 100% Magenta Spot Colour.

What is a dieline and how do I create one?

A dieline is the cut path that tells the cutter exactly where to trim around your sticker. For large format stickers, the dieline must be placed on a separate layer at the top of your file and set to 100% Magenta Spot Colour. The dieline is not printed; it guides the cutting head only. If you are unsure how to create a dieline in your software, our team will advise at proof stage.

How are large format stickers delivered?

Within Australia, express shipping via Startrack takes 1-2 business days to metro areas and 3-5 business days to regional locations. Standard shipping via AusPost takes 2-5 business days metro and 4-6 business days regional. International orders ship via DHL at a flat rate of AUD $35, with a transit time of 2-4 working days.

Can I order large format stickers in a custom shape?

Yes. All large format stickers are supplied as individually diecut shapes, cut to the outline of your artwork. Provide your dieline as a 100% Magenta Spot Colour path on a separate layer in your artwork file and we cut to it. Custom shapes are fully supported.

What is the difference between large format stickers and large printed stickers?

The terms are used interchangeably in the print industry. Large format stickers, large printed stickers, and large print stickers all refer to oversized adhesive vinyl prints produced on wide-format printing equipment. At Paperlust Print Shop, all large format sticker printing is done on professional-grade equipment at our Melbourne production facility.

What is the 100% Print Guarantee?

Our 100% Print Guarantee means that if your large format stickers arrive and the print quality does not match the approved proof, we will reprint your order or provide a refund. We stand behind the quality of every job produced at our studio.

What Are Large Format Stickers?

Large format stickers are oversized adhesive vinyl prints designed for applications where a standard sticker simply will not do. While regular stickers suit product labels, laptop decals, and small branding touches, large format stickers are used where scale and visual impact matter: retail window graphics, feature wall installations, vehicle bodywork, event backdrops, and large-scale promotional displays.

Large printed stickers from Paperlust Print Shop are produced on professional printing equipment using high-resolution full-colour output. Every order is printed and cut at our Oakleigh South, Melbourne studio, reviewed by our team, and shipped Australia-wide. If you need sticker printing large enough to cover a shopfront window, brand a trade vehicle, or anchor a retail display, this is the product built for that job.

Available Sizes and Dimensions

Preset size options for large format stickers include 200 x 200mm, 600 x 200mm, and 600 x 900mm. If your project requires a custom size not covered by these options, contact our team before placing your order and we can advise on what is achievable.

All large format sticker printing is supplied as individually diecut shapes. Your sticker is cut to the outline of your artwork rather than supplied as a generic rectangle or square. This gives your large printed stickers a clean, finished look on any surface.

Materials: White Vinyl, Hi-Tack White Vinyl, and Clear Vinyl

We offer three vinyl materials for large format stickers, each suited to a different set of surfaces and applications.

White vinyl is the standard material for most large print sticker applications. It has an opaque white base that makes printed colours vivid and bold. It is well suited to walls, boards, smooth vehicle panels, and display surfaces where a white sticker background is acceptable.

Hi-tack white vinyl uses a stronger adhesive and is the right choice for surfaces that resist standard adhesion: rough textures, uncoated brick, uneven substrates, or any surface where you need your sticker to stay firmly in place without lifting at the edges.

Clear vinyl is transparent, so your printed artwork appears to sit directly on the surface beneath it. It is popular for window displays, glass panels, and any application where background visibility through the sticker adds to the visual effect.

Weatherproofing and Outdoor Durability

All three vinyl options for large format stickers are weatherproof and fade-resistant, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. The premium adhesive vinyl construction holds up against moisture, UV exposure, and temperature variation.

For outdoor applications such as vehicle graphics, external window displays, and outdoor event signage, select the material best suited to your surface. Hi-tack white vinyl provides stronger adhesion for external surfaces exposed to wind and environmental stress. Clear vinyl performs well in outdoor window settings when the glass surface is clean and properly prepared prior to application.

If you are unsure which vinyl is the right choice for your outdoor large format sticker project, contact our team before ordering and we will advise based on your surface and location.

Indoor Applications: Retail, Events, and Brand Displays

Large printed stickers are among the most versatile tools available for indoor branding and visual merchandising. Common indoor applications include retail window graphics, feature wall installations, point-of-sale displays, event signage, exhibition backdrops, office branding, and product launch activations.

Because large format stickers are printed on flexible adhesive vinyl rather than rigid board or foam, they are straightforward to transport and quick to apply. This makes them well suited to pop-up events, temporary retail activations, and situations where signage needs to be up fast.

For floor-based directional graphics or retail floor decals, see our floor stickers range at /products/floor-stickers, which uses a dedicated anti-slip laminated material designed for underfoot use.

Vehicle Graphics and Large Sticker Printing for Fleets

Large print stickers on vinyl are a practical and cost-effective choice for vehicle branding. White vinyl and hi-tack white vinyl both perform well on smooth painted vehicle surfaces such as door panels and bonnets. Clear vinyl suits vehicle windows where you want graphics without blocking the glass.

Before applying large format stickers to a vehicle, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of wax or silicone residue. Apply at moderate temperatures for best adhesion results. Our large format sticker printing delivers sharp, full-colour output designed to hold up against road exposure and regular washing.

For window-specific applications on shopfronts and offices, see our window graphics range at /products/digitally-printed-window-graphics.

Wall Graphics and Window Displays

Two of the highest-impact uses of large printed stickers are wall graphics and retail window displays. A full-height window graphic on clear vinyl lets customers see through from inside while presenting bold artwork or promotional messaging to passers-by on the street. A feature wall sticker can transform a blank office or retail wall into a branded statement at a fraction of the cost of a painted mural.

For multi-panel wall installations or tiling window decals that need to align across a large area, contact us before ordering to discuss how to divide your artwork across multiple panels correctly.

For the full range of sticker products across all scales and applications, visit our custom stickers hub at /categories/custom-stickers or explore our vinyl stickers range at /products/vinyl-stickers for smaller-scale weatherproof options.

How to Set Up Artwork for Large Print Stickers

Correct artwork setup is the most important factor in ensuring your large format stickers print exactly as intended. We accept artwork in PDF, SVG, or Adobe Illustrator (.ai) format.

Key artwork requirements for large print stickers:

  • Include 3mm bleed on all sides beyond your sticker's finished dimensions
  • All fonts must be outlined (converted to paths) before saving your file
  • All placed images must be embedded rather than linked
  • Your dieline (cut path) must be placed on a separate top layer, set to 100% Magenta Spot Colour

Our team reviews every proof before production and will flag any artwork issues that could affect the final print. If you are unsure about any of these requirements, submit your file and we will advise you directly.

Applying Your Large Format Stickers

Correct application technique ensures your large format stickers adhere cleanly without bubbles or lifting edges. Before applying, clean and dry the target surface thoroughly. Remove dust, grease, and any cleaning product residue using a lint-free cloth.

For larger stickers, the hinge method works well. Tape one edge of the sticker to the surface to act as a hinge. Peel back the liner from the opposite edge, then slowly lower and smooth the sticker down from the hinge outward, using a soft squeegee or credit card to push out air as you go. Work methodically on larger pieces to prevent trapped bubbles.

For hi-tack vinyl applied to rough or textured surfaces, apply firm, even pressure across the full surface to ensure the adhesive reaches the substrate. Press firmly around all edges and corners once the sticker is in place.

Proof Review and Production Process

Every large format sticker order includes a design proof review before production begins. Once you submit your artwork, our team reviews it for print-readiness: checking bleed, colour mode, font outlining, image resolution, and dieline placement. If anything needs attention, we contact you directly before the job goes to press.

For large printed stickers, this step is especially important. Small artwork issues become much more visible at scale. A missing bleed creates white edges on a diecut. A low-resolution image that looks acceptable on screen can appear soft when printed at 600 x 900mm. Our proof review catches these issues before they reach the printer.

Production begins after you approve your proof. Turnaround is 3-4 working days from proof approval, backed by our 100% Print Guarantee.
