Custom Water Bottles: Printed Bottle or Sticker?

Every team season, gym sign-up or end of year gift list runs into the same small decision: how do you get your logo onto a drink bottle people will keep using? You can order custom water bottles as one white printed item, or you can put a vinyl sticker on bottles the club already owns.

This guide compares the two routes. It covers what the printed range costs, how the print area works, which option survives daily washing, and how ordering and production timing fit a team deadline.

The short version

  • Printed drinkware comes in two white stainless steel items: a 17oz (500ml) water bottle and a 15oz travel mug with a larger print area.
  • Order printed bottles and travel mugs from one item. There is no minimum.
  • Printed drinkware costs $59.95 for one and $52.95 each at 50. The price steps down between those quantities.
  • Vinyl stickers start at 10 per design, and 100 pieces at 50 x 50mm cost $0.78 each.
  • The travel mug is dishwasher safe. Vinyl stickers on a bottle are not dishwasher safe, so a stickered bottle should be hand washed.
  • Production takes 3 to 5 working days. Standard delivery is $10 per order, and pickup from Oakleigh South is available at no charge.

What the printed custom water bottles range includes

The custom water bottles range is deliberately small: two white, double walled stainless steel items, both printed in full colour with your own design, logo or text. Your artwork sits as one panel on the front, not all the way around.

ItemCapacitySize (H x W)Print area (W x H)
Water Bottle17oz (500ml)270mm tall x 70mm wide87 x 110mm
Travel Mug15oz (443ml)180mm tall x 84mm wideapprox. 110 x 128mm

The white base is the canvas. Because the artwork is a single front panel, the back and edges stay clean, and the bottle still reads clearly when it sits on a desk or in a cup holder.

Choose vinyl stickers when the bottles already exist, when you need a large low-cost handout, or when the design changes often. A 50 x 50mm sticker at $0.78 each is far less than a $59.95 printed bottle, but the sticker does not give you a bottle.

Washing is where the two routes split. Vinyl stickers are waterproof, but they are not dishwasher safe, so a stickered bottle should be hand washed. The 15oz travel mug, by contrast, is listed as dishwasher safe on the product page.

Names on personalised water bottles

When every member of a squad wants their own name, personalised water bottles become a list of cart lines. Each cart line carries one design, so a different name or design on each item means one cart line per name or design.

Design for a white base and an 87 x 110mm front panel. Keep the name large enough to read at a glance when the bottle is standing on the bench, and put the club logo above or below the name rather than off to one side.

For personalised drink bottles, build the name list in one spreadsheet exactly as you want each item printed. Check spelling and check that every name appears once before you upload. When a name and a logo share the 87 x 110mm panel, keep both on the same vertical centre so the finished custom drink bottles read quickly from across the bench.

Branded water bottles for teams, gyms and events

Branded water bottles sit naturally in gyms, sports clubs, teams, staff and client gifts, and event merchandise. The range is built for small runs: order from one item, and the unit price drops as the quantity rises.

Prices include GST. One bottle is $59.95, 10 are $57.95 each, and 50 are $52.95 each. The unit price drops at quantities 3, 5, 8, 20, 30, 40 and 50. For more than 50 pieces, request a quote by email at printshop@paperlust.co.

For a low-cost handout alongside the printed bottles, a run of logo stickers can cover laptops, drink bottles and equipment. A quantity of 50 at 30 x 30mm comes to $38.

Why travel mugs for commuters and office staff

The 15oz travel mug is the more practical option for people who carry a drink between places. It is leak proof, keeps drinks hot or cold, and the product page lists it as dishwasher safe. Its print area is approximately 110 x 128mm, larger than the water bottle’s 87 x 110mm panel.

Think of it for commuters, office staff and anyone who wants a hot coffee in the car or on the train. The sealed design means it can sit in a bag without the same concern as an open cup.

For a desk mug instead, look at the custom mugs range.

How the order, production and pickup timing works

Ordering starts with upload. You add your design, logo or text when ordering, and a person on the team checks every file before printing. If anything needs attention, the team contacts you before the item goes into production.

Each item is made to order in Australia. Production takes 3 to 5 working days. Standard delivery is $10 per order, Australia wide, added at checkout. Express delivery is not available on these products. Pickup from the Oakleigh South studio is available at no charge.

If you need the order by a specific date, write the date in the Special Request box at checkout and the team will reply whether it can be met. Production times are estimates, and peak periods such as before Christmas can add time. Delivery dates are not promised.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a minimum order for custom water bottles?

There is no minimum. The printed water bottle and travel mug can be ordered from one item, so a single piece is fine. The single item price is $59.95, and the cost per item falls as the quantity rises. For quantities above 50, request a quote by email at printshop@paperlust.co.

Can the water bottle or travel mug go in the dishwasher?

Only the travel mug is listed as dishwasher safe. The product page does not list the water bottle as dishwasher safe, so hand wash the bottle if you want to be careful. Vinyl stickers are not dishwasher safe. A stickered bottle should be hand washed, even though the vinyl face is waterproof.

What does a custom water bottle cost?

Prices include GST. One printed water bottle costs $59.95, 10 cost $57.95 each, and 50 cost $52.95 each. The same prices apply to the travel mug. The price per piece steps down at quantities 3, 5, 8, 20, 30 and 40. Delivery is charged once per order, not per item.

Is a vinyl sticker cheaper than a printed bottle?

For a large run, a vinyl sticker is cheaper. A 50 x 50mm vinyl sticker costs $0.78 each at 100 pieces, while the printed water bottle starts at $59.95 for one. The sticker is the lower cost route when you already have bottles to apply it to, but it does not include a bottle.

Can each bottle carry different names?

Yes, each bottle can carry a different design. Each cart line carries one design, so a different name or design on each item means one cart line per name or design. That applies to water bottles, travel mugs and mugs. If your team list changes at the last minute, check the lines before you submit.

How big is the print area on the bottle and travel mug?

The water bottle has an 87 x 110mm print area on the front panel. The travel mug has a larger print area of approximately 110 x 128mm. Both items are printed on one front panel, not all the way around, on a white base.
