Custom Beer and Spirit Labels

Breweries, distilleries and drinks producers choose these labels when every bottle, can, neck band or cap seal needs to be printed one up and supplied as a die cut roll rather than a sheet. The roll format keeps application simple by hand or on a labeling machine, and the range covers bottle bodies, cans, neck bands and cap seals in five shapes.

Ordering starts with the shape, size, stock and finish, then the number of designs. White Synthetic with Matte or Gloss Laminate handles chilled and wet conditions, White Cast Paper suits dry shelves and gift bottles, and Clear Synthetic with Gloss Varnish creates the no label look on colored glass. Upload print ready artwork or use the design service, and approve the emailed proof before anything prints.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum order for beer labels?

The minimum order is one roll of 500 labels per size. The quantity ladder runs from 500 to 5,000 labels in steps of 500. Each design prints on its own roll, and the size, stock, finish and shape are shared within a design.

How should artwork be prepared for custom beer bottle labels?

Upload print ready artwork or use the design service. Each order gets a free design review and file check, and you supply all wording that has to appear on the label. Artwork needs a 3 mm bleed, and printing uses HP Indigo digital CMYK with Pantone matching available. A final design proof is emailed before anything prints.

Which stock suits wet or chilled bottles?

White Synthetic with Matte or Gloss Laminate is waterproof and made for condensation, ice buckets, splashes and outdoor exposure when covered by the laminate. The film does not bubble or peel on wet packaging the way paper can. White Cast Paper is a cost effective stock for dry shelves and gift bottles.

What finish options are available for beer and liquor labels?

Matte Laminate gives a non-reflective finish that reduces glare and feels smooth and soft to the touch. Gloss Laminate gives a shiny, reflective finish for richer, vibrant colors and protects against scratches. Clear Synthetic uses Gloss Varnish for the no label look on glass and colored containers.

What sizes and shapes can I order?

Rectangle, oval, rounded corner, circle and custom die-cut shapes cover the full size set from 25 mm to 200 mm. A slim 330 ml beer bottle face usually takes a 50 x 100 mm label, and a taller spirit bottle face usually takes 70 x 120 mm or 100 x 150 mm. A cap or neck seal is usually a 30 mm or 40 mm circle.

Can several designs go on one order?

Up to five different designs can be printed on one order, with each design on its own roll. Each design shares the same size, stock, finish and shape, and each artwork needs a separate setup. Proofing covers one print-ready file per design, all proofed before printing.

How does this differ from Waterproof Vinyl Labels?

These labels group beer and spirit bottle labels on White Synthetic, White Cast Paper and Clear Synthetic and are supplied on rolls of 500. Waterproof Vinyl Labels carries every shape on that waterproof white synthetic stock. Choose this product for the full stock range for bottles, cans, neck bands and cap seals.

Who purchases these labels and for which use?

Craft breweries, distilleries, gin and whisky makers and ready to drink producers purchase them for beer bottle labels, spirit bottle labels, can labels, neck bands and cap seals. The labels are ready for hand application and labeling machines after the proof is approved and printing begins.

Roll labels for beer and spirits

These beer labels and liquor labels are printed as roll labels, each design printed one up and die cut to shape for bottle bodies, cans, neck bands and cap seals. Every label is supplied on a roll of 500, which keeps hand application and labeling machine runs predictable for a production batch. Breweries, distilleries, gin and whisky makers and ready to drink producers use this format for bottle faces, can panels and small cap or neck seal circles.

Choosing stock, size and finish

The stock decision drives how the label behaves on the bottle. White Synthetic with Matte or Gloss Laminate is made for condensation, ice buckets, splashes and outdoor exposure when covered by the laminate, and the film does not bubble or peel on wet packaging the way paper can. White Cast Paper is a cost effective stock for dry shelves and gift bottles. Clear Synthetic with Gloss Varnish disappears on colored glass for a no label look, and white ink underprinting is available for full opacity or white text elements.

Size follows the container. A slim 330 ml beer bottle face usually takes a 50 x 100 mm label, while a taller spirit bottle face usually takes 70 x 120 mm or 100 x 150 mm. A cap or neck seal is usually a 30 mm or 40 mm circle. Rectangle, oval, rounded corner, circle and custom die-cut shapes cover the full size set from 25 mm to 200 mm, and oval labels are offered on the white stocks only. Clear synthetic is available on circle, rectangle, rounded corner and custom die-cut labels.

Artwork, files and proof approval

Upload print ready artwork or use the design service, and supply all wording that has to appear on the label. Every order gets a free design review and file check, and artwork needs a 3 mm bleed. Printing uses HP Indigo digital CMYK with Pantone matching available, so color can be matched to brand references.

A final design proof is emailed before anything prints, and printing starts only once the proof is approved. Nothing prints until that approval is recorded, so the label is checked for size, shape, stock and wording before a run begins.

Use cases by industry

The roll of 500 suits producers who want a single label format for a production run, from bottle bodies to cap seals.

  • Craft breweries order beer bottle labels, can labels and neck bands
  • Distilleries and gin and whisky makers order spirit bottle labels
  • Ready to drink producers order labels for chilled cans and bottles
  • Drinks producers add small circle cap seals and neck seals

Why choose these over related labels

Choose this roll label option when the job calls for bottles, cans, neck bands or cap seals supplied as die cut rolls of 500. For a clear transparent film in this range, see Clear Labels. For the same waterproof white synthetic stock carried across every shape, see Waterproof Vinyl Labels. For a wine range, Wine and Bottle Labels is the sibling option.
