Do I need to remove the background or send a cut file?
No. We remove the background, build the cut line and check the photo at the size ordered. Nothing prints until you approve the emailed proof.
What kind of photo works well?
Use a clear, well lit original photo from the phone or camera, taken front on with the whole head in frame and some space around the hair. Avoid compressed screenshots or social media saves, and we will tell you before printing if a photo will not enlarge cleanly.
Is the back of the cutout printed?
No, the cutout is printed on one side only. The back of the board is left unprinted.
Is a handle or stick included?
No, a handle, stick or stand is not fitted. The cutout is one piece of board held by its edges, and a photo with the neck and shoulders gives a natural place to hold it below the face.
Can they be used outdoors?
The board is not waterproof, so keep it dry and store it flat.
Can I order one cutout or several different faces?
There is no minimum, and one copy can be ordered. The quantity is copies of the same cutout from one photo, and a different face is a separate item in the cart.
Can a club order its players for game day?
A club, team, school or workplace can order cutouts of its own people, with each person's permission. Each different face is its own item in the cart, and the quantity on each face can be anything on the quantity list.
How long does production take and what does delivery cost?
Production takes 3 to 7 business days after the proof is approved, and delivery time is added. Standard delivery is $15 per order, express is $60 per order, Australia wide, and pickup is available in Oakleigh South.
Can you print a famous player, celebrity or cartoon character?
We print photos the buyer owns or has permission to use. We do not print famous players, celebrities, film, television or cartoon characters, or club and brand logos without permission.

A custom big head cutout is a face from your own photo, enlarged and printed on rigid board, then cut around the head and hair. They are also called face cutouts or giant heads. People take them to hens nights where the groom's face is held up, bucks parties where the bride's face is held up, footy games, milestone birthdays, graduations and school formals, farewells and retirements, office parties and airport welcomes.

Photo preparation is handled before printing
Every order includes background removal, the cut line, a size check and an emailed proof. Nothing prints until the proof is approved. No cut file and no design software are needed. A print ready file is also accepted, using PDF, SVG or Adobe Illustrator with 3mm bleed and the cut line supplied as a dieline in 100% magenta spot colour on the top layer.

If a photo will not enlarge cleanly to the size ordered, we say so before anything prints.
