Counter Cards

Counter cards are rigid, self-supporting printed signs designed to sit on a counter, reception desk, checkout, or tabletop without a separate stand, frame, or hanging hardware. Printed on 2.5mm Ecoboard, an FSC Mixed Certified 100% fibre-based board with a triple-coated print surface, every counter card holds its position on a flat surface and delivers full-color artwork on a stable, recyclable substrate.

Three standard shapes are stocked: arch (a rectangle with a curved top edge), rectangle, and wave. Each shape is offered in A5, A4, and A3 for nine standard configurations covering everything from a compact checkout sign to a prominent table display. Custom shapes and sizes outside the standard range are available on request.

Counter cards suit any setting where a branded or promotional message needs to be displayed on a flat surface without wall space, frames, or hanging hardware. The self-supporting format makes them fast to place, easy to reposition, and practical to swap out for short campaigns or seasonal promotions.

Retail point-of-sale

Counter cards at checkouts and in-store product displays communicate promotional offers, loyalty program details, new product announcements, and seasonal campaigns. The A5 and A4 sizes are the most common for checkout placement: large enough to read at a glance, compact enough not to crowd the counter.

Hospitality and restaurants

Table tent signage, daily specials, drinks list cards, and venue policies suit the counter card format. The arch and wave shapes work well in hospitality settings where a softer profile complements the venue aesthetic.

Clinics, real estate, and reception desks

Information cards, appointment reminders, service menus, and branded agency signs sit well on reception and waiting room surfaces. The A5 rectangle is the standard format for professional desk displays.

Events and activations

Table numbers, sponsor acknowledgment signs, program guides, and directional signage at seated events. The minimum order of 1 piece makes counter cards accessible for small private events as well as large-scale conferences.

The standard range covers nine configurations: three shapes in three sizes each. For non-standard dimensions or bespoke silhouettes, custom shapes and sizes are available on request with a quote and digital proof before production.

• Rectangle: the standard format for POS, desk signs, and information displays. Clean edges suit formal and professional environments.

Material

2.5mm Ecoboard, FSC Mixed Certified, 100% fibre-based, with a triple-coated print surface that delivers full-color artwork cleanly. The board is recyclable and biodegradable, suiting businesses that prefer fibre-based signage over plastic display materials.

Optional paper stand

An optional paper stand (easel back) is available with A5 and A4 orders for situations where an angled display is preferred. The standard counter card format is self-supporting without the stand; the paper stand is an accessory, not a requirement.

Artwork

Supply artwork as PDF (preferred), Adobe Illustrator (.ai or .eps), or SVG. Include 3mm bleed on all edges, crop marks, fonts outlined or vectorized, images embedded, and CMYK color mode. A digital proof is supplied for review and approval before production.

Counter cards are printed in Australia with 24-hour express production available for urgent orders, one of the fastest turnarounds in the Print Shop range. Standard production typically dispatches within 2 to 5 business days from artwork approval.

Every order receives a digital proof by email before production begins. For 24-hour express jobs, prompt proof approval is essential to meet the production window. Minimum order quantity is 1 piece, making counter cards practical for single-event runs, sample testing, and small-batch retail or hospitality use.

Australian domestic orders dispatch via express freight after production, with delivery typically 1 to 2 business days to major metro areas. International orders ship via DHL express at a flat AUD $35 rate, with delivery typically 2 to 4 working days after dispatch.
