The right poster size depends on your display environment and how far away your audience will be when they read it:

• A3 (297 x 420mm): Arm's reach to 1m — noticeboards, counter displays, menu frames, office signage.
• A2 (420 x 594mm): 1-2 metres — window posters, event promotion, hospitality menus, real estate.
• A1 (594 x 841mm): 2-4 metres — retail windows, venue displays, exhibition panels, street-facing displays.

Synthetic paper is particularly well-suited to hospitality environments. It resists the humidity and temperature fluctuation of kitchen-adjacent spaces and shrugs off the inevitable wipes and splashes of a front-of-house area. A2 and A3 work perfectly in standard menu frames and noticeboard installations. A1 posters are ideal as standalone window or behind-bar displays designed to catch diners' attention from across the room.

Poster artwork should be supplied at the correct dimensions with 3mm bleed on all sides. For the sharpest results at A1 and A2 size, supply artwork at a minimum of 100dpi at final print size. For A3, 150-300dpi at size produces noticeably sharper fine detail. Accepted file formats: PDF (preferred for mixed-content artwork), AI, EPS, or high-resolution PNG. Outline all fonts and embed all images. Where photography is used, supply the highest-resolution original available — downsampled or screen-resolution images will not print well at A1 or A2 scale.
