Brochures
A brochure puts your services, products, or spaces in a prospect's hands at the moment of highest interest — and stays there long after the conversation ends. Unlike a business card, a brochure has the space to explain. Unlike a website, it does not require a data connection. At Paperlust Print Shop, we print custom brochures in four standard fold formats on premium stocks from 115gsm to 250gsm.
Production starting from $0.13 inc GST per unit at volume. 2-5 working days after design proof approval.

What paper stocks are available?
Five options: 115gsm Gloss, 150gsm Gloss, 170gsm Gloss, 170gsm Matte, and 250gsm Gloss. All stocks are available for all fold formats.
How long does production take?
Standard production is 2-5 working days after design proof approval. A proof is included with every order and sent before we proceed to print.
Can I mail brochures directly to customers?
DL format brochures fit DL envelopes and are a standard choice for direct mail campaigns. A5 bifolds fit C5 envelopes. Contact our team if you need advice on mailing specifications.
Do you offer a design service?
Yes. Our team can produce brochure artwork from your logo and brief, adjust your existing file, or redraw your logo for print. Ask about our artwork and design services at checkout.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Contact our team for current minimum order quantities — these vary by format and stock. Volume pricing applies from standard quantities, with significant per-unit savings at higher runs.
What format should I provide my artwork to you in?
File Type
We prefer artwork in PDF, SVG and Adobe Illustrator formats. Please add 3mm bleed and crop marks whenever possible.
Fonts & Artworks
Make sure all fonts are outlined/vectorized, and all images/artwork embedded.
Dieline
Dieline needs to be in 100% Magenta Spot Colour and placed on the top layer.
Will I receive a design proof before it's printed?
Yes we will send a final design proof to your email. We will not proceed to print until we receive your design approval.

Choosing the Right Fold Format
The fold format determines how your brochure is held, read, stored, and distributed:
- DL Roll Trifold (A4 folded to DL): The most popular brochure format in Australia. Compact enough to fit a DL envelope, a brochure rack, or a suit pocket. Ideal for services businesses, real estate, hospitality, and any application where the brochure needs to be racked, mailed, or carried. 6 panels.
- DL Z Trifold (A4 folded to DL): The same compact DL footprint as the roll trifold, but with a Z-fold construction where alternate panels fold in opposite directions. Sits flat when opened. 6 panels.
- A5 Bifold (A4 folded to A5): A single fold creating four A5 panels. More space per panel than a DL — suited to detailed service lists, accommodation guides, product catalogues, and corporate capability statements.
- A4 Bifold (A3 folded to A4): Four large A4 panels. Maximum space for detailed content — suited to event programs, annual reports, product portfolios, and education or government publications.
The DL Roll Trifold is the most popular format in Australia — it fits a DL envelope, a standard brochure rack slot, and a suit pocket. The A4 Bifold is the largest option, with four full A4 panels for image-heavy or content-rich applications.
Paper Stock Guide
Stock choice affects how the brochure feels in the hand as much as how it looks:
- 115gsm Gloss: The most economical stock — suited to high-volume letterbox drops, event handouts, and promotional runs where unit cost is the priority.
- 150gsm Gloss: The most popular choice — a balance of print quality, durability, and cost. Gloss finish enhances colour saturation and is ideal for image-heavy designs.
- 170gsm Gloss: A premium feel appropriate for hospitality menus, real estate listings, and corporate use. Noticeably more substantial than standard stock.
- 170gsm Matte: Same weight as the heavy gloss but with a non-reflective surface — suited to text-heavy designs and environments with overhead lighting glare.
- 250gsm Gloss: Near-card-weight stock that signals quality from the moment a prospect picks it up. Used by luxury property agents, premium hospitality venues, and professional service firms for whom the brochure itself is a brand statement.
Real Estate and Property
Property listing brochures are a mandatory leave-behind at every open home inspection. At 250gsm gloss, a DL trifold or A5 bifold communicates the quality of the listing and the professionalism of the agency in the same moment. DL trifolds suit window card racks and reception desk holders. A4 bifolds give development projects the space to present floor plans, inclusions schedules, and lifestyle photography at full scale.
Fast production at competitive per-unit pricing makes it practical to reprint individual listings as needed — no need to order large quantities that go to waste when properties sell.
Hospitality and Tourism
Restaurants, cafes, accommodation venues, wineries, and tourism operators rely on brochures for guest information guides, activity menus, event booking information, and in-room compendiums. A5 bifolds work as table or counter leave-behinds. DL trifolds fit standard rack displays in lobbies, visitor centres, and tourism information points.
QR codes on brochure panels link directly to online booking pages, menus, or virtual tours — bridging the physical brochure to a digital conversion point.
Professional Services and Trades
For tradies, consultants, healthcare providers, and professional services businesses, a brochure handed over at the end of a quote or consultation keeps your business front-of-mind when the prospect decides. A DL trifold fits in a kitchen drawer and a shirt pocket. An A5 bifold carries a service list, team overview, and contact details on four panels.
A clear call to action on the back panel — a phone number, website URL, or QR code to an enquiry form — converts passive readers into enquiries weeks or months after the initial meeting.
Integrating QR Codes
QR codes have become a standard element of effective brochure design. A code on a brochure panel can link to a booking page, product video, portfolio, menu, or contact form — extending the physical brochure's function into digital engagement.
Design tips for QR codes: ensure the code prints at a minimum of 25mm x 25mm, place it on a light background with strong contrast, and test it before artwork is finalised. Include a brief instruction beside the code — not all readers know to scan without prompting.
Artwork Requirements
Brochure artwork should be supplied as a flat, single file with all panels at the correct finished dimensions plus 3mm bleed on outer edges. Accepted formats: PDF (preferred), AI, or SVG. Outline all fonts and embed all images. Supply dielines (fold lines and cut lines) in 100% magenta spot colour on a separate top layer.
For DL roll trifolds: the centre fold-in panel should be approximately 3mm narrower than the outer panels to allow the brochure to close flat without bulging. Not design-ready? Ask about our custom design service at checkout.
Production and Delivery
Standard production for brochures is 2-5 working days after design proof approval. A design proof is included with every order and sent to your email before we proceed to print.
Once dispatched: metro Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Adelaide typically 1-2 business days. Perth and regional areas 2-4 business days. All orders ship with tracking. Flat-rate shipping: $10 AUD Australia-wide. International: $35 AUD, 2-4 working days via DHL.
100% Print Guarantee
Every brochure order is backed by our 100% print guarantee. If your order arrives with a print defect, we reprint it at no cost. We review every artwork file before production and flag fold, bleed, or resolution issues before they reach the print floor. Learn more about our Perfect Print Promise.
