The frame itself is natural pine wood, with your choice of Black, White or Oak Finish. The glazing is plexiglass: shatterproof, lightweight and far safer to ship than standard glass. Behind the glazing, your image is printed on 170gsm matte fine-art paper, which gives a soft, non-reflective surface that suits photography, illustrations and artwork equally well. Portrait and landscape orientations are both available.

Every Paperlust framed print arrives with two display options built in. A fold-out stand on the back lets you stand the frame on a shelf, desk, dining sideboard or bedside table. Flip it over and the pre-fitted hanging hardware means it is wall-ready straight out of the box. For best results, upload a high-resolution file: a JPEG, PNG or PDF at 300 dpi is ideal for A4 and A3, and as large a file as you have available for A2. Plexiglass glazing is easy to clean: a soft, dry cloth or a slightly damp microfibre cloth removes dust and fingerprints without scratching. Avoid abrasive cleaners or paper towels. Framed photo prints suit some images better than others, and the paper is the reason. 170gsm matte fine-art paper has a soft, non-reflective surface, so a framed photo print holds detail in shadows and skin tones without the glare you get from a gloss photo finish under a downlight. Each step up the A series doubles the area of the one below it, so A3 is twice A4 and A2 is twice A3. A2 is the largest framed print we build. For anything bigger than that, the piece has to be a canvas: our custom canvas prints run to 60x90cm, which is larger than A1, either as a frameless gallery wrap or with a floating or classic timber frame. A framed print is one of the few gifts that is finished when it arrives. There is nothing for the recipient to assemble, no frame to go and buy, and nothing that has to be measured first, because the stand and the hanging hardware are already fitted.
