The transparent film background shows whatever surface you apply it to, creating a clean, high-end look for bottles, jars, and premium products.
We print clear labels on transparent synthetic film using HP Indigo digital presses, for colour that resists fading and moisture. Because the material is transparent, colours appear slightly lighter than on white stock, we can add a white ink underprint behind your design if you need full opacity or white text elements.

What format should I provide my artwork to you in?
File Type
We prefer artwork in PDF, SVG and Adobe Illustrator formats. Please add 3mm bleed and crop marks whenever possible.
Fonts & Artworks
Make sure all fonts are outlined/vectorized, and all images/artwork embedded.
Dieline
Dieline needs to be in 100% Magenta Spot Colour and placed on the top layer.
Will I receive a design proof before it's printed?
Yes we will send a final design proof to your email. We will not proceed to print until we receive your design approval.
Where is Paperlust Print Shop based? How long will the delivery take?
Our head office is located at 23 Manton Road, Oakleigh South, Victoria, Australia. For Australian addresses, we offer two shipping options you can choose. Standard delivery is a $10 flat rate Australia-wide, with express available at checkout.
- Express shipping: 1-2 business days for metro and 3-5 business days for regional (using Startrack)
- Standard shipping: 2-5 business days for metro and 4-6 business days for regional (using AusPost)
Can you ship worldwide? How long will it take?
We ship worldwide with flat AUD $35 charge (2-4 working days). We partner with DHL to ship our products express internationally.
Do you have an order minimum?
Roll labels have a minimum of one roll of 500 per design and size, supplied for hand or machine application on bottles, jars and packaging. If you need fewer than 500, order clear stickers instead: the same shape and artwork, minimum 10. See all roll label shapes.
Do you have waterproof labels?
Yes. The white synthetic stock with laminate is waterproof and scuff resistant for bottles, jars and outdoor use. Cast paper with laminate resists splashes and handling. Choose synthetic for fridges, freezers, bathrooms and anything washed.

What’s the material for clear labels?
Our clear labels are made from a clear synthetic, non-tearable material. They’re ideal when seeing through part of the label is important to showcase the product or the colour of the surface beneath. Common uses include water, juice, RTD alcohol, and cosmetic labels.
Can I print clear labels in any shape?
Yes, you can print them in any shape you like.
What's the difference between clear labels and clear stickers?
Clear labels are designed for permanent product packaging, bottles, jars, cosmetic containers, with strong adhesives that last through shipping and handling. Clear stickers are for promotional use like window decals and laptop branding. If it’s going on a product you’re selling, you want labels.
How does reverse printing work on clear labels?
Reverse printing means your design is printed on the back (adhesive side) of the clear film, so the ink is protected by the material itself. When applied, your label is scratch-resistant and durable. This is the standard method for clear labels on bottles and containers.
Can I use clear labels on curved bottles?
Yes, but the label material needs to match the curve. For tight curves (like small bottles), the clear film flexes without creasing. For larger curves (like wine bottles), standard clear label stock works fine. Let us know your bottle dimensions and we’ll recommend the right material.
Do I need white ink backing on clear labels?
It depends on your design and product. If you want your logo to stand out clearly on a clear bottle, yes, white backing is essential. If you want the “no label” look where the product shows through, skip the white ink. We can show you examples of both.
