Frequently Asked Questions
How long does production take?
All roll labels except foil labels are produced within 48 hours after you approve your design proof, and proofs approved by 8am Melbourne time go into production that day. Delivery is a flat $10 Australia-wide, with express available at checkout. Foil labels take 4 to 5 working days after proof approval.

What format should I provide my artwork to you in?
File Type
We prefer artwork in PDF, SVG and Adobe Illustrator formats. Please add 3mm bleed and crop marks whenever possible.
Fonts & Artworks
Make sure all fonts are outlined/vectorized, and all images/artwork embedded.
Dieline
Dieline needs to be in 100% Magenta Spot Colour and placed on the top layer.
Will I receive a design proof before it’s printed?
Yes we will send a final design proof to your email. We will not proceed to print until we receive your design approval.
Where is Paperlust Print Shop based? How long will the delivery take?
Our head office is located at 23 Manton Road, Oakleigh South, Victoria, Australia. For Australian addresses, we offer two shipping options you can choose. Standard delivery is a $10 flat rate Australia-wide, with express available at checkout.
- Express shipping: 1-2 business days for metro and 3-5 business days for regional (using Startrack)
- Standard shipping: 2-5 business days for metro and 4-6 business days for regional (using AusPost)
Can you ship worldwide? How long will it take?
We ship worldwide with flat AUD $35 charge (2-4 working days). We partner with DHL to ship our products express internationally.
Do you have an order minimum?
Our minimum for labels is one roll of 500 per design and size, supplied for hand or machine application. Fewer than 500 are sold as vinyl stickers (minimum 10). See all roll label shapes.

Yes. Our vinyl labels use approved synthetic materials for cosmetics and food and beverage outer packaging. The acrylic adhesive is stable from -20°C to 80°C, covering chilled and frozen storage, and resists oils and moisture. For direct food contact, contact us to confirm compliance.
How much do 1,000 waterproof labels cost at 30 x 30 mm?
For 30 x 30 mm vinyl labels, 1,000 cost $178.75 in total, which is $0.17 each. These prices include GST and are the live order totals for the default selection. Standard delivery is $10 per order.
Do waterproof label prices include GST and delivery?

The film, adhesive and laminate behind waterproof labels
These waterproof labels are printed on one side only. The label stock is white polypropylene film with a gloss face stock, backed by a permanent emulsion acrylic adhesive rated for a service temperature of -20°C to 80°C.
The film does not bubble or peel on wet packaging the way paper can. A matte or gloss laminate is applied over the printed surface.

Waterproof bottle labels for condensation, ice buckets and wet handling
Waterproof bottle labels are made for the moments packaging gets wet and cold: fridge and chilled storage, condensation on bottle necks, ice buckets, splashes during washing up, oils and household cleaning agents, and outdoor exposure when covered by laminate.
They suit bottles, jars, candles, cosmetics, drinks, sauces, honey and preserves, and cleaning and household chemicals. They stick to glass, plastic, metal and treated packaging surfaces. Outdoor life depends on the conditions the label faces.
Six shapes, 76mm core rolls and a 500 label minimum
Waterproof vinyl labels are supplied on 76mm core rolls of 500 labels, with a minimum order of one roll per design and per size. The roll format suits hand application and automatic labelling machines.

- Square: 30, 40, 50, 60, 75 and 100mm
- Rectangle: 25x50, 25x70, 70x40, 50x100, 70x120 and 100x150mm

The smallest label is 25mm and the largest is 200mm. Custom sizes are available by email enquiry.
Matte or gloss laminate over HP Indigo CMYK print
Printing is HP Indigo digital CMYK, with Pantone matching available and a 3mm bleed required. Both laminate finishes add a clear protective layer over the printed surface, so moisture, oils, cleaning agents and handling do not mark the label.
Matte laminate reduces glare and gives a softer finish, which suits labels read up close on pantry or bathroom shelves. Gloss laminate adds shine and depth, which suits shelf appeal and product photography.
When waterproof stickers, clear labels, foil labels or die cut labels fit better
The roll range starts at one roll of 500 labels per design and per size. If you need fewer than 500, or want a sheet format, order waterproof stickers, which have a minimum of 10.
For a no label look on glass and plastic, choose clear labels. For a metallic premium finish, choose foil labels. If you want a custom silhouette cut to your brand shape, choose die cut labels.
