Custom Wine Labels
You need custom wine labels and labels for wine, spirits, beer, gin, sauce, oil and drink bottles. Choose a shape and size, select a stock, and order the roll label quantity that suits your run.
For a bottle that sweats in a fridge, an ice bucket or a cold room, choose White Synthetic with Matte Laminate or Gloss Laminate. It is waterproof and scuff resistant, and the acrylic adhesive is stable from minus 20 degrees C to 80 degrees C. White Cast Paper with laminate is a cost-effective paper stock for dry goods and indoor products, but it is not water-resistant. Clear Synthetic with Gloss Varnish gives the no-label look on glass and coloured containers.
The front face of a standard 750ml wine bottle takes a rectangle in the 70mm W x 120mm H or 100mm W x 150mm H range. A slimmer beer or spirit bottle usually takes 50mm W x 100mm H, and a neck or cap seal is a small circle. Minimum order is one roll of 500 labels per design and per size, with up to five designs printed on one order. Printed in Melbourne and shipped Australia-wide at a $10 flat rate. Production takes 48 hours after design proof approval.
Specification
Supplied on rolls, one-up, 500 labels per roll, ready for hand application and for semi-automatic or automatic label applicators. The unwind direction can be requested at proofing.
Stocks: white cast paper or white synthetic film, each with matte or gloss laminate. Clear synthetic film with a gloss varnish.
- For custom size enquiry, please contact printshop@paperlust.co
- Synthetic condensation defence: Synthetic with laminate keeps the printed surface protected from condensation, moisture and oils on bottles pulled from fridges and ice buckets.
- Clear no-label look: Clear film with gloss varnish lets the bottle colour show through, so the label reads as printed glass on wine, gin or sauce bottles.
- Synthetic cold stability: White Synthetic has an acrylic adhesive that holds on chilled and frozen bottles from minus 20 degrees C to 80 degrees C.
- Laminate finish shield: Laminate adds a clear protective layer, so handling, cleaning agents and moisture do not mark the printed face.
- Paper shelf option: Cast paper with laminate gives a dry shelf paper look for indoor gift bottles and pantry bottles kept out of moisture.
- Die cut shape consistency: Die cutting defines the finished shape and a sharp edge, so each label separates from the roll consistently.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size label fits a standard 750ml wine bottle?
A rectangle in the 70mm W x 120mm H or 100mm W x 150mm H range suits the front face of a standard 750ml wine bottle. For a slimmer beer or spirit bottle, 50mm W x 100mm H usually fits better, and a small circle label works as a neck or cap seal. Choose the size before ordering so the artwork is prepared for that shape.
What stock should I use for a bottle that goes into the fridge or an ice bucket?
Choose White Synthetic with Matte Laminate or Gloss Laminate. It is waterproof and scuff resistant, and the acrylic adhesive is stable from minus 20 degrees C to 80 degrees C, so it covers chilled and frozen storage. Condensation is water on the label, and the laminate layer stops moisture from marking the printed surface.
Are these waterproof labels?
White Synthetic with Matte Laminate or Gloss Laminate is waterproof and scuff resistant. Clear Synthetic with Gloss Varnish is a transparent film, and both laminate finishes add a clear protective layer so moisture, oils, cleaning agents and handling do not mark the label. White Cast Paper is not water-resistant and suits dry goods.
Can I order fewer than 500 labels?
The minimum order is one roll of 500 labels per design and per size. Buyers who need fewer than 500, or a sheet format instead of a roll, order the sticker version of the same shape instead. This keeps the roll format for production runs of at least one roll per design.
What stock gives a no-label look on glass?
Clear Synthetic with Gloss Varnish is the transparent film option for a no-label look on glass and coloured containers. The printed artwork appears directly on the bottle, while the clear label carries the wine or drinks branding without a white paper background.
How long does production take after I approve my proof?
Production takes 48 hours after the design proof is approved. Foil labels take 4 to 5 working days after proof approval. You will receive a final design proof by email before anything is printed.
Can I print more than one design in the same order?
Yes. Up to five different designs can be printed on one order, each design on its own roll. The quantity ladder runs from 500 to 5,000 in steps of 500, so you can split a run across label designs without ordering each design as a separate job.
What label shape should I use for a neck or cap seal?
A small circle label is the usual choice for a neck or cap seal. Circle labels are available in 30, 40, 50, 60, 75, 90, 100 and 150mm round sizes, so you can pick the size that matches the cork or cap top.

Bottle Label Sizes and Shapes
The front face of a standard 750ml wine bottle takes a rectangle in the 70mm W x 120mm H or 100mm W x 150mm H range. A slimmer beer or spirit bottle usually takes 50mm W x 100mm H, while a neck or cap seal is a small circle. Choose rectangle labels, oval labels, rounded corner labels and circle labels for bottle-ready sizes from 25mm up to 200mm depending on the shape. Then set the size and stock for your wine labels, beer labels or spirit bottles.
Choosing a Stock for Condensation
For a bottle that goes into a fridge, an ice bucket or a cold room, the label needs to survive condensation. Condensation is water on the label, and White Synthetic with Matte Laminate or Gloss Laminate is waterproof and scuff resistant. Its acrylic adhesive is stable from minus 20 degrees C to 80 degrees C and resists oils and moisture, so it covers chilled and frozen storage. White Cast Paper with laminate is a cost-effective paper stock for dry goods and indoor products, but it is not water-resistant. These waterproof labels are the right starting point for cold drinks and chilled bottles.
Clear Labels for a No Label Look
Clear Synthetic with Gloss Varnish is a transparent film for the no-label look on glass and coloured containers. It works well for gin, wine, sauce and oil bottles where the liquid colour or glass should stay visible. Use clear labels for a modern wine label that reads as printed glass rather than a white paper panel. The clear stock still receives a final design proof before printing, and the printed surface sits under gloss varnish rather than a paper background.
Ordering Proofs and Delivery
Minimum order is one roll of 500 labels per design and per size. The quantity ladder runs 500 to 5,000 in steps of 500, and up to five different designs can be printed on one order, each design on its own roll. Unwind direction can be requested at proofing. A final design proof is emailed before anything is printed, and printing starts only once the proof is approved. Production takes 48 hours after proof approval, and orders are shipped Australia-wide at a $10 flat rate.
Paper Labels for Dry Shelves
White Cast Paper with Matte Laminate or Gloss Laminate is a cost-effective paper stock for dry goods and indoor products. It suits gift bottles, pantry sauce bottles and oils that stay on a dry shelf rather than in a fridge or ice bucket. This stock is not water-resistant, so it is the wrong choice for a bottle that will sweat. For a dry shelf wine label or bottle label with a paper look, choose White Cast Paper instead of a synthetic film.
Finishes and Handling
Both Matte Laminate and Gloss Laminate add a clear protective layer over the printed surface. That layer handles moisture, oils, cleaning agents and everyday handling without marking the label. White Synthetic with laminate is scuff resistant, which helps when bottles knock against each other in a cold room or on a shelf. Labels are not rated for repeated dishwasher cycles, where sustained heat and detergent can lift edges over time. For a bottle label that needs to stay legible after handling, choose a laminate finish.
