Feather Flags
Feather flags are tall printed fabric flags on a fibreglass pole, sold as a complete kit with a carry bag and a base. Choose a feather shape with a straight edge along the pole and a curved top arm that holds the fabric forward, or a teardrop shape with a rounded top that sweeps into a wide head and tapers down to the base.
Artwork choices cover seven ready layouts, your own print ready artwork and a Custom design. For a layout, pick the layout, shape, size, sides and base, add to cart, then upload a logo and type the words on the Upload Artwork step if the layout asks for them. Our designer sets the words and logo into the layout and emails a PDF proof, and nothing prints until you approve that proof. You can also add the words and logo later from the cart. Sizes go from Small 2400mm to Large 4700mm for feather flags and Small 2200mm to Large 4800mm for teardrop flags, with 1 Side or 2 Sides and a Pole, Spike, Bag, Cross Base + Water Bag or Square Base Plate base.

What is the difference between a feather flag and a teardrop flag?

Which size should I choose for a footpath or a roadside?
Small 2400mm feather flags and Small 2200mm teardrop flags suit a shop front footpath, an open home or an indoor trade booth. For a roadside, car yard or wide event entry, Large 4700mm feather flags and Large 4800mm teardrop flags work well. Medium sizes give more presence on a forecourt, at a market stall or above a small crowd.
Can I buy a ready made OPEN flag?
Yes, the OPEN layout prints as shown in red with OPEN in white, COME IN in yellow and a yellow arrow at the foot. It prints at the same price as your own artwork, and a PDF proof is still sent before printing.
How does my logo go on a personalised layout and does it cost more?
After you add the layout to cart, upload the logo and type the words in the one text box on the Upload Artwork step. Our designer sets them into the layout and emails a PDF proof. Each personalised layout adds a $15 set-up per design, and ten identical flags on one cart line carry one $15 set-up.
Will both sides show my design and what does single sided look like from the back?
If you choose 2 Sides, your design is printed on both faces with a blockout layer between them, so both sides read correctly from the outside. With 1 Side, the back shows a mirror image of the front. Ready layouts print the same design on both faces when 2 Sides is selected.
Which base should I use on grass and on concrete?
Use the Pole, Spike, Bag base with its ground spike on grass and soft ground. Use the Cross Base + Water Bag on hard ground such as pavement, concrete, tiles and indoor floors. The Square Base Plate is a 10kg steel plate for the tallest flags and the most exposed spots.
What is in the kit?
Every kit includes the printed flag, a fibreglass pole set, a carry bag and the base you choose. No tools are needed to put it up.
How long does a flag last outside?
A printed flag can last 6 to 18 months depending on sun and wind. Storing it in the carry bag between uses helps it last longer.
How long does production and delivery take and what does delivery cost?
Production takes 2 to 3 working days after proof approval. Standard delivery is $15 per order or express delivery is $60 per order Australia wide, and free pickup is available from Oakleigh South.
Can I order just one flag?
Yes, you can order from one flag with no minimum order quantity. The price per flag falls as the quantity rises.

- OPEN HOME layout: navy flag, a white house symbol, OPEN HOME in white and FOR INSPECTION in light blue. It stands outside an open home.

Personalised and custom business flags
The two personalised logo layouts turn a custom feather flag into a business flag with your own logo and words.
- Logo and business name layout: a white flag with a navy head, the logo in a round badge near the top and the business name in large letters up the flag.
- Logo and phone or website layout: a navy flag, the logo in a white round badge near the top, the phone number in large white letters up the flag and the website beside it in orange.
After you add the layout to cart, upload the logo and type the words in the one text box on the Upload Artwork step. A $15 set-up per design is added, and one design per cart line means ten identical flags carry one $15 set-up.
Upload my own artwork covers any other design, with a print ready PDF or high resolution image at 300dpi at the printed size.

1 Side prints on 125GSM trilobal polyester, and the back shows a mirror image of the front. 2 Sides gives two printed faces with a blockout layer sewn between them at 145GSM, so each face reads the right way round with no show through.

Dye sublimation prints the polyester with UV resistant inks, and the edges are sewn. Each flag is printed in Melbourne. These promotional flags are built for outdoor use, with an outdoor life of 6 to 18 months depending on sun and wind. Store the flag in its carry bag between uses to make it last longer, and reuse the poles, bag and base with a replacement flag later.
