Aluminium signs are custom printed on a 3 mm aluminium composite panel. Each sign is printed in full colour on one side, then finished with a gloss or matt laminate. The rigid, flat panel is built for businesses, sites and venues that need an outdoor sign to hold its shape and stay readable for years.
Ordering is straightforward: choose the size, laminate, shape, holes, number of designs and quantity, upload your artwork, and approve the emailed PDF proof. We start printing after you approve the proof, then send the signs out for delivery.

What is an aluminium composite panel sign made of?

Should I choose gloss or matt laminate?
Choose Gloss Laminate when you want a shiny finish and rich colour. Choose Matt Laminate for a low glare finish that is easier to read in direct light. The two cost the same, so the decision is about the look and position of the sign.
Can the signs be printed on both sides?
No. Printing is single sided only, in full colour on one side.
How do custom shapes work?
Select Custom Shapes and supply a dieline with the artwork. The panel is router cut to that outline.
How are the signs fixed?
The order form offers four corner holes in two sizes, drilled before your sign is sent. Choose 6 mm, a good size for drill hole mounting where you screw the sign straight onto a wall, fence or post, or 10 mm, ready for your own screws or fixings. Mounting hardware is not included with the order.
Can one order have several designs?
Yes. You can split one order evenly across up to 10 designs. Each design after the first adds $10 inc GST, and the extra charge stops at $40 from 5 designs up.
How much does one 600 x 900 mm sign cost?
One 600 x 900 mm sign costs $139 inc GST. This includes either gloss or matt laminate.
How long do signs take and what does delivery cost?
Signs are made in 5 to 7 working days after you approve the proof. Standard delivery is $15 per order, Australia only, and pickup from Oakleigh South, Victoria is at no charge.

A rigid panel built for outdoor use
Aluminium composite panel signs start with a 3 mm sheet made of two 0.21 mm aluminium skins bonded to a recycled polyethylene core. At 4.3 kg per square metre, the panel is rigid and flat. The panel itself is warranted for 10 years outdoors, while the laminated print is rated for up to 5 years outdoors. The material is also known as ACM, ACP or alupanel, so the same board is often listed as ACP signs or alupanel signs. For a short term outdoor job such as an event or campaign, corflute signs are the lighter option.
Standard sizes and shape options
ACM signs come in six standard sizes:
- 300 x 450 mm
- 450 x 600 mm
- 600 x 900 mm
- 900 x 1200 mm
- 1200 x 1800 mm
- 1200 x 2400 mm
After the size, you choose between a rectangle and Custom Shapes. Custom Shapes are router cut to follow the dieline you supply with the artwork. The optional corner holes come in two sizes: four 6 mm holes, a good size for drill hole mounting with screws, or four 10 mm holes, ready for your own screws or fixings. Mounting hardware is not included.
Full colour print and laminate finish
Your artwork is printed in full colour on one side only. Gloss Laminate produces a shiny finish and deep, rich colour. Matt Laminate produces a low glare finish that stays easy to read in direct light. Both options cost the same. For a lighter rigid board for indoor signs, see PVC signs.
Quantities, designs and order pricing
Custom aluminium signs are ordered in set quantities, and gloss and matt laminate cost the same. For 600 x 900 mm signs, one sign totals $139 inc GST, two signs total $198 inc GST, four signs total $332 inc GST and ten signs total $734 inc GST. A single 300 x 450 mm sign totals $91 inc GST, and a single 1200 x 2400 mm sign totals $421 inc GST. A 600 x 900 mm sign with the four corner holes totals $142 inc GST, and a 600 x 900 mm sign in Custom Shapes totals $157 inc GST. An order can be split evenly across up to 10 designs, and each design after the first adds $10 inc GST, up to $40 extra from 5 designs up. Ten 600 x 900 mm signs across ten designs total $774 inc GST.
Artwork, proofing and delivery
Artwork should be a print ready PDF with 3 mm bleed, fonts outlined and images embedded. Custom Shapes also need a dieline supplied with the artwork; the design services on this page (Artwork Fix, Custom Design, Redraw Logo, Logo Creation) can prepare the file for you. We email a PDF proof and start printing only after you approve it. Production takes 5 to 7 working days after approval, then the signs are delivered. Standard delivery is $15 per order, Australia only, and pickup from Oakleigh South, Victoria is at no charge. Builders who need a site sign can look at construction signs.
