Pool Safety Signs
These pool safety signs are printed in full colour on corflute for a home or shared swimming pool. Choose one of the seven ready layouts, upload your own artwork for any other pool sign, or have our designer build a custom design from your brief and logo.
The CPR sign classic layout, CPR sign coastal layout and CPR sign charcoal layout all carry the same CPR chart from the ANZCOR Basic Life Support flowchart, reviewed August 2023. They include the emergency statement, the three New South Wales pool warning lines, the note that formal instruction in resuscitation is essential, and the publisher and date line.
Choose from 450 x 600mm portrait, 600 x 450mm landscape or 600 x 900mm portrait, in 3mm or 5mm corflute, printed one sided, with optional metal eyelets for cable ties to a pool fence, or drilled holes for screws into a wall or post.
Specification
- Product Dimensions:
- 450mm x 600mm
- 600mm x 450mm
- 600mm x 900mm
- Material: 3mm or 5mm corflute (fluted polypropylene)
- Seven ready layouts: Choose from the three CPR sign looks, Keep gate closed, Supervise children, Pool rules or Pool under construction layouts, or supply your own artwork.

- Unchanged ANZCOR chart: The CPR chart is the ANZCOR Basic Life Support flowchart reviewed August 2023, printed whole and unchanged.
- Simple proof step: You approve a PDF proof before anything prints, and only the Pool rules layout needs details typed.
- Eyelets or drilled holes: Add four 10mm silver metal eyelets to cable tie the sign to a pool fence or temporary fencing, or four 6mm or 10mm drilled holes to screw or bolt it to a wall or post.

Frequently Asked Questions
What must a pool CPR sign show in New South Wales?
In New South Wales the warning notice must include the three required lines about active supervision, keeping the pool gate closed, and keeping articles clear of the pool fence, plus a simple resuscitation flowchart in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guideline. It must also state that formal instruction in resuscitation is essential, name the publishing body and date, and be legible from at least 3 metres.
What does Queensland ask of a resuscitation sign?
Queensland's Building Regulation 2021 says a resuscitation sign must be attached to the pool barrier or displayed near the pool where it is easy to see. It must be at least 300mm x 300mm, durable and weatherproof, show a prominent statement on how to act in an emergency, and show first aid steps including CPR in line with ANZCOR guideline 8 of January 2016.
Do Victoria or Western Australia require a CPR sign at a home pool?
We found no rule that asks for a home pool CPR sign in Victoria, Western Australia, Tasmania, the ACT or the Northern Territory. Industry guidance still suggests following the Australian Resuscitation Council CPR guideline anyway, so a pool owner may still choose to put one up.
Which CPR chart does the sign use and is it changed?
The CPR chart is the ANZCOR Basic Life Support flowchart, reviewed August 2023, printed whole and unchanged. The three CPR layouts carry the same chart with no changes.
Which size should I choose?
450 x 600mm portrait is the usual CPR sign for a pool fence or gate, and 600 x 450mm landscape suits a wide fence panel or gate sign. 600 x 900mm portrait is the large sign for a shared pool, a long fence line or a road frontage. Every size is at least 300mm x 300mm.
Does corflute suit a pool fence?
Yes. Corflute is weather-resistant, and the optional four metal eyelets let you cable tie the sign to a pool fence or temporary fencing, while the 6mm or 10mm drilled hole options suit a sign screwed to a pool house wall or a timber post. 5mm corflute is thicker and more rigid, which suits an exposed fence line.
Can I put my property name and pool hours on a rules sign and what does it cost?
Yes. The Pool rules layout includes a property or complex name, pool open hours and six rules, and you type the name and hours and may change the rules. The layout has a $15 per design set-up on top of the own artwork price, so one 450 x 600mm rules sign is $45 including GST.
What does the pool under construction sign say and how large is the warning lettering?
It shows DANGER in white on a red oval over SWIMMING POOL UNDER CONSTRUCTION and KEEP CHILDREN OUT. The Queensland construction rule asks for warning lettering at least 50mm high in a bold style, and the layout's lettering is at least 50mm high on every size.
How is the sign attached, should I choose eyelets or drilled holes, and are fixings included?
The printed sign is supplied with no fixings, and the holes and eyelets option lets you pick one way to hang it. 4 x 10mm Metal Eyelets adds four silver metal eyelets with a 10mm opening, one near each corner, for $3.50 per sign: the choice for cable ties on a pool fence, temporary fencing or a gate, because the metal ring stops the board tearing in wind. 4 x 6mm Drilled Holes adds four plain holes for $2.50 per sign, for screws into a pool house wall, a timber post or a fence paling, and a washer under each screw head stops it pulling through. 4 x 10mm Drilled Holes, also $2.50 per sign, suits bolts, larger screws or thick cable ties, and has no metal lining. Leave the default No Holes for a sign that sits in a frame or is held with tape or adhesive. Cable ties, screws, washers, bolts and adhesive are not included.
How long do production and delivery take and what does delivery cost?
Orders of 1 to 3 signs in our standard sizes move into 24 hour production after you approve the PDF proof, as do orders of up to 10 signs in our standard sizes picked up from Oakleigh South. Delivered orders of 4 or more signs and any order of more than 10 signs take 48 hour production. Delivery costs $15 standard or $60 express per order, Australia wide. Pickup from Oakleigh South is available at no charge.

What the CPR chart on the pool CPR sign includes
The pool CPR sign layouts print the same cpr chart from top to bottom, with nothing to type.
- Heading: CPR
- Emergency statement: "In an emergency phone 000 and ask for ambulance. Stay with injured person, call for help and resuscitate."
- ANZCOR Basic Life Support flowchart, reviewed August 2023, printed whole and unchanged
- Pool warnings: "Young children should be actively supervised when using this swimming pool", "Pool gates must be kept closed at all times", "Keep articles, objects and structures clear of the pool fence at all times"
- Line: "Formal instruction in resuscitation is essential."
- Publisher and date line: "Published by Paperlust Print Shop, October 2026."
The CPR sign classic layout, CPR sign coastal layout and CPR sign charcoal layout carry the same content in three looks.
What each state asks for at a pool
State rules differ. Check the proof with your council or pool certifier before you approve it.
- New South Wales: the Swimming Pools Regulation 2018 warning notice includes the supervision, gate and clear fence lines above, and the sign must be legible from at least 3 metres. The three CPR layouts can serve as an NSW pool CPR sign because they carry that warning notice wording.
- Queensland: the Building Regulation 2021 asks for a resuscitation sign at least 300mm x 300mm, made of durable and weatherproof material, with a prominent emergency action statement and first aid steps including CPR. For a Queensland pool CPR sign, our CPR layouts include the emergency statement and every size is at least 300mm x 300mm.
- South Australia: pools approved from 1 May 2016 need a first aid and CPR sign at least 300 mm by 300 mm, durable and weatherproof, on the barrier or near the pool.
- Victoria, Western Australia, Tasmania, the ACT and the Northern Territory: no home pool CPR sign rule found. Having one is still a sensible step.
These layouts are not legal advice; confirm what your council, state and pool certifier require before you order.
Other ready layouts for gate, supervision, rules and construction
Beyond the CPR chart, choose four more printed pool safety sign layouts.
- Keep gate closed layout: heading KEEP GATE CLOSED over "Pool gates must be kept closed at all times". This is a simple pool gate sign.
- Supervise children layout: heading SUPERVISE CHILDREN over "Young children should be actively supervised when using this swimming pool".
- Pool rules layout: heading POOL RULES with a property or complex name, open hours and six rules. You type the property name and hours and may change the rules.
- Pool under construction layout: heading DANGER in white on a red oval on a black panel, over SWIMMING POOL UNDER CONSTRUCTION and KEEP CHILDREN OUT. Section 14 of the Building Regulation 2021 asks for a warning sign on or within 1.5 metres of the road frontage, visible from the road, with the bottom of the sign at least 300mm above the ground, durable and weatherproof, and warning lettering at least 50mm high in a bold style. The layout's warning lettering is at least 50mm high on every size.
The Pool rules layout suits a pool rules sign for a home, holiday rental or strata pool, and has a $15 per design set-up.
How ordering a pool safety sign works
Choose a layout and board options, add to cart, then use the Upload Artwork step to type the sign details. The text box takes up to 1000 characters and only the Pool rules layout needs details. Our team sets the details into the layout and emails a PDF proof, and nothing prints until you approve the proof. If you already have a print ready PDF or high resolution image, choose Upload my own artwork at the same step and we check it at proof stage. For a custom design built from your brief and logo, add the $49.90 Custom Design service. For any other custom printed board, see our custom corflute signs page.
Sizes and board choices for a pool fence
Choose the board that suits where the sign will hang.
- 450 x 600mm portrait: the usual CPR sign for a pool fence or gate
- 600 x 450mm landscape: the same board turned on its side, for a wide fence panel or a gate sign
- 600 x 900mm portrait: the large sign for a shared pool, a long fence line or a road frontage
Corflute is weather-resistant and can be printed one sided. Pick 3mm for a lighter, lower cost board or 5mm for a thicker, more rigid board on an exposed fence line. Add four silver metal eyelets with a 10mm opening for cable ties to a pool fence or temporary fencing, or four 6mm or 10mm drilled holes for screws or bolts into a wall, post or fence paling. Split one order across up to 10 different designs. Fixings such as cable ties, screws, bolts and adhesive are not included.
Pool builders who also need site entry and danger boards for the job site can find those on our construction signs page.
Prices, production and delivery
Prices below include GST for 3mm corflute, one sided, no holes or eyelets and one design. A 450 x 600mm or 600 x 450mm CPR, gate, supervision or construction layout costs $30 for one, $45 for two, or $120 for ten, which is $12 per sign. At 600 x 900mm, the same layouts cost $39 for one and $180 for ten, or $18 per sign. The Pool rules layout costs $45 at 450 x 600mm or 600 x 450mm for one, and $54 at 600 x 900mm for one, because it includes the $15 layout set-up. A 5mm corflute 450 x 600mm CPR layout is $33.50. Eyelets add $3.50 per sign and either drilled hole option adds $2.50 per sign. The page configurator prices every other combination, and there is no minimum order quantity. Orders of 1 to 3 signs in our standard sizes go into 24 hour production once the proof is approved. Orders of up to 10 signs in our standard sizes picked up from Oakleigh South also go into 24 hour production. Delivered orders of 4 or more signs and any order of more than 10 signs take 48 hour production. Delivery costs $15 standard or $60 express per order, Australia wide. Pickup from our facility at 23 Manton Road, Oakleigh South VIC 3167 is available at no charge.
